Please join for Hikes ‘n Hugs. We’ll gather and quietly wonder, greeting and hugging the trees. The trees are there to hold us through all the seasons of life.

Nature is the best medicine. 

When’s the last time you hugged a tree or wondered with no destination? When’s the last time you got quiet enough to really hear the forest and really see and appreciate what’s around you? 

I recommend going barefoot a bit on the trails if you can to ground, so bring a bag or plan to carry your shoes.

Bring water, snack, natural tick spray and a journal if you’d like. 

Plan to arrive by 4:45. We will meet in front of  “The treehouse” and begin walking by 5:15. 

For parking closest to the Wissahickon Environmental Center, you have two options:

• Parking Lot 1: This lot is for all able-bodied adults and is often inaccessible in snow or heavy rain. 

• Tree House Parking Lot (P-2): This lot is accessible from the intersection of Germantown Avenue/Pike and Northwestern Avenue. It is specifically for passenger vehicles and is open for use. It is recommended for those who want to park closer to the Tree House and bathrooms.
